Happy Ending

Fallen apart at the seams.

One day I'll fly away.

My pain is wet and you'll get hurt all over you.

The city has sex with itself (I suppose). As the concrete collides, the scenery grows.

I've watched the children come and go; a late long march into spring. I sit and watch those children jump in the tall grass, leap the sprinkler, walk in the ground, bicycle clothespin spokes. The sound, the smell of swingset hands. I will try to sing a happy song. I'll try and make a happy game to play. "Come play with me" I whispered to my new found friend. "Tell me what it's like to go outside."

Ultra-Violet Rays Are Washing Over All the Boys And Girls

The sun shines and leaves blow. And my hope, like autumn, is turning brown. I know it seems like I'm always falling down.

Looks Just Like the Sun

The days get longer and the nights smell green. I guess it's not surprising but it's spring and I should leave.

We Live In A Beautiful World (Ya, We Do. Ya, We Do)
|
|
|
I feel safe, I feel warm when you're here, when I do no wrong. I am cured when I'm by your side. I'm alright, alright. I am safe when I am with you. And I feel warm (if you want me to). I am cured when I'm by your side. I'm alright.

Strange Promenade With Eyes Closed

Lost and tired and chained.

In the shadows buried in me lies a child's toy.

A Breeze And Blue Skies

Let me take you down...

Sunrise, sunset...swiftly go the days.

I can see for miles and miles...

Drown, drown...Sailors run aground. In a seachange nothing is safe. Strange waves push us every way. In a stolen boat we'll float away...

And All Your Bad Days Will End
|
|
|
...And that's the day I knew there was this entire life behind things, and... this incredibly benevolent force, that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid, ever. Video's a poor excuse. But it helps me remember... and I need to remember... Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in.

We don't know what we are doing; maybe just buying us some hope, because we know that we are lonely. Yeah, lonely that's for sure. And the older ones are coughing. And the older ones are dying. Maybe we are all dying. I pass a graveyard on my way to work. Today I saw two dozen white roses on a fresh new mound of dirt, and I wondered about the occupant: when the darkness finally swallowed him, was he calm and content? Or, was he sweating in a struggle to keep breathing, ripping apart the sheets that dressed his bed, crying out loud for someone to help him and collapsing on his back all pale and dead? Maybe it's me who's this unstable, always obsessed about the end. Why can't I let what happens happen and just enjoy the time I spend? Oh, how I wish it was so easy...
